How borrou works

A marketplace for renting things from shops and people in your area: tech, sports gear, tools and much more. Just for the days you need them.

If you want to rent something

    Search and pick your dates

    Filter by category, location or price and choose the days you need.

    Verify your identity

    Only the first time: ID document plus a selfie, through Stripe Identity.

    Wait for approval

    The owner reviews your request and approves or declines it.

  4. 4

    Pay securely

    The payment is held until you confirm the item has been returned.

If you want to list and earn money

    List your item

    Upload photos, a description and a price. Your listing goes live straight away.

    Get requests

    Approve or decline them as it suits you.

    Hand it over in person

    You arrange pickup and return through the chat.

    Get paid into your account

    Once the return is confirmed, the payment goes straight to your bank.

What does it cost?

Listing is free and there are no subscriptions: we only charge when a rental happens. Whoever rents pays 10% on top of the listed price, and 15% is deducted from what the owner receives. That covers payment handling, identity verification and protection if something goes wrong.
